Lament of the leather shoe

Posh, phat and plush
Touched up with tad bit polish and hint of wax
Off to a jaunt in the mushy slush
Her orientation rather lax

The bright soul engrossed in a book
A half baked pedestrian this one
Maneuvers around without a second look
Reads along caring none

I want her to tip toe, she thumps
Cruelly scrapes off the ice once in a while
The dampness slowly gets on my skin
Oh that woman can rile up my bile

I'm all soaked, cold and decaying by the minute
Her gaze off the road, she only steps into a puddle
Oh lady, my life is precious, give me a chance to live it
A cockamamie enigma reading on the road, all you do is make me befuddle

I've had enough, I have to harden
Vengeance will be sweet
I'm done with the abuse and burden
With all my heart and sole, I shall pinch her feet.
